Class Descriptions
Gi Class
This class consists of a warm up, drilling technique and rolling - all done in the gi. The gi is a uniform traditionally worn by BJJ practitioners. If you don't own a gi, that's ok - just wear something you can move in and we'll loan you one of ours until you get your own.
No-gi Class
A warm up followed by drilling a no-gi specific technique. We finish the class with some live rolling rounds. No-gi is done without the traditional uniform - wear something you can move in - think shorts or leggings and a t-shirt.
Flipped Classroom
Flipped classroom classes are drilling sessions led by each student's interests and needs and supported by coaches on hand to answer questions, offer guidance, and to test out theories followed by a rolling open mat.
Women's class
A supportive, women-only class designed to help you refine your skills and train alongside other like-minded women. This class focuses on refining technique, purposeful drilling, and live rolling in a fun and welcoming environment.
Constraints-led Class
This class is built around carefully designed games created to promote skill acquisition quickly. You will be given tasks with constraints and goals that allow you to focus on understanding different positions in an in-depth way.
Kids' Classes
Our kids' BJJ classes are designed for children aged 6 to 12 and run twice a week: gi classes on Mondays and no-gi classes on Wednesdays. Each session includes a mix of fun drills, skill-building games, and controlled sparring to help kids learn technique in a safe and supportive environment. All classes are led by our dedicated kid's coach, Alex.
Why BJJ is great for kidsBrazilian Jiu Jitsu helps children grow in confidence, resilience, and self-discipline. It improves coordination, balance, and body awareness while teaching problem-solving and respect for others. Kids learn how to stay calm under pressure, work through challenges, and build friendships along the way - all while having fun!
